Stamp Nite!

Hey All,

I went to my second Stamp Nite Monday and made a wonderful card based off the following two cards.
My Stampin up! demonstrator had seen this youtube video using the chevron pattern. If you like to see the video that she had gotten the idea from here's the link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04myDV7Qons&list=TLQcaEuGpQD9o)

Here I used my own imagination to come up with this card! I just LOVE the new flower shop bundle set! Especially the flower/pansy punch!!! I can't wait to get my hands on it. Did I mention how much I love this punch!?? I used the honeycomb embossing folder for the background, used the chevron pattern, than I punched out 2 flowers using a navy blue color as my base flower, and a white color for the middle flower, than one of the ladies had pointed out the flower needed something in the middle so she had suggested the light pink flower to go in the middle. I added my own rhinestone when I got home. (It needed some bling!) I than punched out 3 small navy blue butterfly's and added those on the side as a boarder. I also punched out two butterfly's to make 3D butterfly which had fallen off my card ( I realized it after I had already had taken a picture)

Here are some pics of some of the other ladies cards!

I am definitely having a bit of a hard time keeping up with the other ladies there. They may be older but they're quick! I find myself struggling a bit, but than again I like to take my time. Time just seemed to fly by so fast, all the ladies were done with their card while I was still finishing up!

I hope you guys like the cards and give them a try yourself! If you don't have any of the stampin up equipment I'm sure you can come up with an alternative to decorate the card. I don't have any equipment yet since I just started, but don't let that stop you! I'm always finding myself finding alternative ways to make a card look just as nice without the punches, embossing folders, stamps, etc

Until next time

Crafters block?

These past few weeks have been pretty difficult. With some changes going on in my life, I've sort of went into this funk. I'm having a hard time being creative, and I'm just not really feeling myself. It's almost like being a writer and just not being able to come up with any ideas to write about. well this is my writers block. Hopefully I'll start to feel like myself again and start to come up with some wonderful ideas soon.To become passionate about my work once again. I love what I do but sometimes I just really wish I could do more, and I hate the feeling of being so limited. I think that's what really bums me out, the feeling of being so restricted. I know I can go far and I just feel like it's way to out of my reach. I'm such a dreamer and I dream way and beyond of anything I can ever possibly do right now, but we all have to dream right? We all have to have hope and faith that we'll eventually be where we want to be in life. So for that I'm hanging in there, which is all I can really do.

I hope for better days eventually and I just have to keep continuing to have faith, although it's probably one of the most hardest things I have to do in life right now. Is wait. I don't think I've ever learned to be patient so well in my entire life. I was always this fun energetic kid always chasing after what I wanted to do. I didn't have limits than. I was just a kid going after what I wanted, I never let anyone or anything stop me. Looking back, things were so easy and simple. I was just a kid. Now it's like I have the weight of the whole world on my shoulders, and I'm just not sure how to be way again. People are always to busy making things complicated and difficult. Yeah I'm pretty sure I've grown to be that way with everyone else too unfortunately. I guess I still am that ambitious person though. I won't stop until I get to where I want in life. Yes, I have my ups and downs like now, but one of these days I'll make it happen. I thank the people who stick by me through these difficult times. Which sadly. Isn't many, but I am grateful for the very few I do have.

wow I sure know how to rant, I'm going to wrap this up. Life is nothing but a journey and this ones mine. Who will come for the ride with me?
I hope I'll get my creativity back. Hopefully sooner or later. I'll catch you all at my next blog.

First Craft haul

Hey guys!

As I've mentioned in my previous posts I decided to start doing some card making. So I need some supplies right? I've been doing a little shopping and picked up some goodies here and there! I'm on a tight budget so I try to buy things a little at a time.I know it seems like a lot but I collected all this stuff over the past few months and decided to put it all together and do a haul. I found some awesome deals! Can't wait to share with you all. I went to Tj maxx Joanns, Michaels, and a new dollar store that just opened called dollar zone  (I think) welp! let's jump into the haul!

I had found these Acrylic stamps called My minds eye (The Sweetest Things) sets for a dollar each on the clearance section at TJ maxx. Yes folks a DOLLAR each! I was super  shocked! I couldn't believe the price when I saw them so I had to snatch them up! I had done some research on them and hese bad boys run for $5-6 dollars! what a deal i had gotten on them!

I went into the new dollar store that just opened up. I found these awesome thigns for only a dollar each. These double sides tapes run up for $3 and up for a roll. I'm on a tight budget so for a dollar i couldn't go wrong! I also found some of the Forever In Time Glue pads, Pop dots, and 3D pop dots. I also found 3 small glue bottles in a pack for a dollar also. I was so happy I found these (as you can tell I just had to open them and put glue in the bottles.) since I always have a hard time with the big tacky glue bottles I always get more glue to come out than I want to. So these ensure that I get the right amount of glue each time I use them. I picked up an embellishment sticker too! I just LOVE embellishments they add such a nice touch to everything!

I went to Michaels the following week and found these awesome stamps from recollections on clearance for $1.99. Since I only had a few dollars on me I was only going to get one. When I went to the checkout counter they only rang up $1.00. A DOLLAR each! I was so shocked of the price for these that I had to go get each one in every design they had!

I went to Joann Fabrics. Just about everything was 40% off and I found some great deals on some clearance items as well. Are you guys starting to get the hint of how much I love clearance items. I'm always after the best deals!! Although it's a bit tough since I spend my money on things from clearance items I don't necessarily need, but I love getting things for super cheap that I just cant pass up a deal.

Here I found a colorbox mixed media ink on clearance for $1.97 which I thought was a good deal seeing as ink pads are expensive, and it's black so I'll always be using it for basic things. I also picked up these studio g stamps on sale for around $3.60 originally around $6.00. ( I already opened a pack to use as you can see the pink pad is upside down lol)

I found these amazing embellishments on clearance for .50 each! Such an awesome deal!! I just LOVE the pack that has the dream, inspirational, create, and potential sayings in it, that I had to grab all the ones they had left. They are definitely inspiring to me. I can't wait to find a project to use these on.

I picked up another embellishment pack for .50 as well. I also found this Martha Stewart stamp set for around $3 on clearence. I'm not exactly sure how to use them. It says that it's supposed to create boarders for cards. I kind of wish I had passed on the kit, but I'm stuck with it so I'll have to figure out how to use them. If you guys know how to use the kit, please let me know!

I also picked up these stamps from studio112. They were a dollar a piece. I'm thinking of returning a few of the picture ones seeing as I need more saying stamps for the cards I'm going to be making.

I almost forgot about this paper pad I found. When I got home I realized it was actually a calender set. But I can easily use the paper for other projects. I only had a few mins to decide on this item since the store was closing. I have a bad habit in running in stores last minute! This lady in there likes to give me a hard time about it. I think everywhere I go I just leave an impression on someone so they always seem to remember me....Yeah sounds about right. Lucky me! (sarcasm)

I had went to Walmart a month or 2 ago.  Walmart was making room for new products and most of the items in the craft area were on clearance. I found these Colorbok paper pads on clearance for only $2.50 each! What a deal, these usually run for $5 and up. I picked up 5 total of these. Two of the black and white themes paper and one of each on the other pads.

I also found these smaller pads for $1.50 originally $5 as well. I couldn't believe I scored a great deal on all thi paper! I shall be a busy bee for a while!

Well That's the end of my first haul! Hope you guys enjoyed seeing the goodies I picked up. and I hope you guys find some awesome deals shopping too! Feel free to leave a comment. Let me know what deals you guys find and score on! I'd love to hear from you.

Card

Hey guys!

I found this amazing card on a youtube channel called chicnscratch. I loved it so much that I just had to make it myself! It was so simple and easy to make! In her video he makes a 3D butterfly out of paper using a butterfly punch. I don't have much equipment yet so I just added my own embellishment.  Definitely check out her channel he has some wonderful tutorials!

3x3 note card set

Hey guys!

Here's a little something I've been working on today....

I made 3x3 note card set that also comes with a box!

Here's the box I made for the note cards. It easily fits 3x3 cards. To finish it off I added a piece of ribbon and tied a bow. It took me about 30 mins to a half hour to make. It was simple and easy to do!
